ok, in the past I've managed to rip JUST the movie files, author my own menus in spruce and burn to dvd-r
and also been able to encode extras (although quality is crap), keep main movie same size and burn to dvd-r.
Ok, this time I want to remove a set of vobs, but keep everything else intact, original menu, chapters, main movie...etc...
The film is ICE AGE. Its just over 6 gigs, but there's a set of special features which on their own is over 3 gigs (its the set of vts_03 vobs). If I could remove just these vobs, then resulting/remaining files would be about 3.6 gigs, which would burn to dvd-r.
So in simplistic terms, what would be my best option/procedure to remove just these files (vobs), keep the rest of the files and then burn back to dvd-r keeping the structure correct and keeping original menus and chapters.
or is it a matter of encoding the vobs to become smaller
I've got most of the necessary appz, decrypter, maestro, cce etc....
Running XP by the way
cheers
Raider
