  1. i was wondering if any one has any ideas on taking a .avi file and encoding it to make it better. Like quality and sound and such i have tryed with virtural dub but i dont know settings very well so if someone could help me it would be great.

    especially to a beginner. Especially!!

    Buy the origonal movie and encode it yourself, as you'll be happier then.

    Well It depends, If the picture just has some Macro blocks then apply a noise filter. If its anime then you can definately make it look sharper and better. But as Vhelp said. Nothing you can do would make the video better. Unless you had a $10,000 studio rig built for video.
    Adding bitrate to video wont solve the problem either. Its just wasted bitrate.
