  1. I've been trying to capture my home movies to make a svcd using a matrox mystique/rainbow runner, virtual dub w/picvideo codec set to custom 480x480 in a athlon 1.4 computer but am dropping more frames than I capture. Anyone gotn any ideas as to the best way I should capture with this card to make svcd?
    Thanks, Pat

Can I capture at a different resolution and convert to 480x480, and if so what is best resolutin to capture at?

What's wrong with rainbow runners own capturing? and then use TMPGEnc to convert to SVCD?

You can use anything above 480x480, higher resolution often means better quality. TMPGEnc will then resize the image to 480x480 when encoding.
