to change the name right click on the file and select "rename" (you can also click on it twice slowly - better stick w/ method one) ..

yes pulldown is a command line app --- but just use a GUI (windows type interface) for it ..

    get it here : http://guiguy.wminds.com/downloads/pulldownbatchfe/

put both files in the dame directory and run the GUI .. pretty straight forward ... just enter the input file and name you output file and hit go ..

Open any folder on your pc. Click Tools/Folder Options/View and uncheck "Hide Extensions for Known Filetypes."

Now you can change the ext for that stream.

Pulldown.exe is a command line utility and must be run from a command prompt.

Go Start/Programs/Accessories/ and select Command Prompt.

Go to the dir where pulldown is installed and type pulldown and it will give you the syntax for using it.

If you would rather an easier way, then there is a gui available online so just do a search. This will allow you to run the program using a more visual interphase. Also, I haven't read the guide you are using so I don't know if pulldown is being used for more than just adding the pulldown flags. If this is all that it is doing than simply drag and drop your video stream onto the pulldown.exe file and it will automatically do everything for you. Once its done look at c:\ and there will be a file called pulldown.m2v (or mpv I don't remember but same difference.)

  4. Damm!! You guys are good. In answer to your question adam, pulldown is used like this. "If you have an NTSC movie you've most likely encoded it at 23.976 and will find that no authoring program will accept your video stream. This is because the stream has the wrong framerate. Use pulldown.exe on the file as follows:

    pulldown input.m2v output.m2v"
I have no Idea what it means. But thats all I need to do to finish. 5hrs. later.Do either of you guys have any idea? Thanks

pull it into the same window you have your .m2v file in. enter the name of your encode file cce made and it will generate new file almost same name except _pd at the end.

Yes all the guide is telling you to do is add the pulldown flags. Either use the gui or just drag and drop your video stream onto the pulldown.exe program.
