  1. Hi, Im new to the forum, but has been an long time follower of all the wonderful guides here, let me just thank the authors for that

    to my little problem:
Iīm frameserving from VirtualDub, using Vobsub to get subtitles, into an VCD (non-standard) stream through TmpgEnc2.58 - everything works like a charm except for that aspect ratio is messed up in the .mpg file.

In virtualdub the file is about 2.25:1, when it comes out itīs roughly 1.37:1 - I think all information is there but itīs all squashed together (how a Anamorphic DVD looks like on a 4:3 screen when DVD is set in 16:9 mode)

My TV chas a 16:9 mode so it pushes the frame in 1.85:1, but it doesnīt look like when I play the Divx on the PC with GlobalDivx.

The .avi is 576x324, is in NTSC - i set Tmpgenc to handle it in NTSC also, Iīm loosing my patience witht this file

What am I doing wrong? please help

    /Jaffe

Source aspect ratio for a DivX is always 1:1(VGA). Video arrange method should be Full screen(keep aspect ratio). The VCD template you choose should match the framerate of the DivX.

    Thanks for the fast reply,
however center screen- keep aspect ratio made it worse, it kinda zoomed into the picture loosing one line of Subtitles, and still same fullscreen ratio. BUT, i tried FULL SCREEn KEEP ASPECT RATIO instead, and seems to work ALLLRIGHHHT!

Thanks, easydvd, helped me find what i was looking for!

    /Jaffe

EDIT: Missed your reply Benjazzer, my guess is he slipped his mind - anyway he pointed me in the correct direction thanks guys
