    Hello,

Source material camcorder captured with Virtualdub 720 by 480

Use Sonic Video Factory to make transiitions, music, etc. .. and again out to 720 by 480. Now this is HEAVY interlace material and unless I use TMPG I would get motion blur.

Anyway, uses TMPG at the setting s given on this set as the HIGH QUALITY SETTINGS etc.. http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0165394101/TMPGEnc_Template.html

Lastly, I use BAldricks process (IFOEDIT and NERO)

Result is beatiful picture but inconsistant on machines. On apex 500w , great all around. On Pioneer DV414 get choppy sound. On GE 100EN get slightly out of sync sound, all the same disk.

I figure my rates were too high perhaps ?

I tried NEODVD 3.0 using the AVI to DVD and it came out compatible but WICKED motion blur.

    Okay, last test.

USED TMPG to get the desired PICTURE because it is the ONLY thing that eliminates motion blur. Then fed the DVD MPEG to NEODVD. Worked and seems to play in all three machines. (I have to check the sync of lips yet)

SO my question (SOrry it took so long to get here)
If I use NEODVD as the final step, is it RENCODING my already perfectly coded MPEG2 to a lesser quality before I burn ?

Is there a better way ? I would REALLY like to use the TMPG to IFOEDIT to NERO routine, but NERO seems to be fouling the final up ...Like I say, It plays in one machine but the other 2 SAY they can handle DVD+R DVD+RW yet they don't do it so wll.

APEX 500W doesn't count because it ould play a pizza if you put one in..LOL

PLEASE help. I need a stable process as these are for WEDDING video's...Thanks....

what is HEAVY interlace ? if your looking on a pc monitor - its different than on a TV ....

if you try to remove the interlace so it looks good on your pc it will often look blurred on a tv ..

anyway set your max bit rate to 7000 as you find this a lot more compatable ..

Thank you and I answered another question for myself...NEODVD DOES LOSE RESOLUTION !

i checked the IFO file created after NERO

I checked the IFO file after NEODVD

    NERO says MPEG 2 compression

NEODVD says MPEG 1 !!!! Uggggg

    SO I am STill stuck

nero just doesn''t make the compatibility...NOW WHAT !!!
