    Is anyone els getting skips and Disc Dirty errors when using memorex on standalone dvd players?

  2. Hmmm. I dunno about that one, but burning wise, Memorex are the ONLY CDR's I ever had problems with. Every other no name el-cheapo kind of CDR's alwasy worked great. Bought memorex once, never again.

  3. i've had problems with memorex cd-rs too, esp. when there was a bunch of dust on the dvd

    Tdk was a little better, except some of the movies on the dvd wouldn't play when launced from the menu screen...
    Tonight I will try Sony brand

    I would try el cheapo brand first.
    I usually buy whatever discs I can get for under $10/50 pack (w/rebates); they are often free after rebates. I've never had any problems.
    I did, however, buy a bunch of Memorex CDRW's--they suck
    never again...
