  1. Hello I have a lot of footage I want to edit and I am going to use Adobe Premiere 6.5 . With the installation, I did not install the Quicktime plugins and am regreting it. I now wish to install it and I also have the Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder I also wish to add as a plug-in, but am not sure how to add them. I cant use the CD to copy the files so please dont ask me to. Im sure its been explained on this site, but I can never find anything Sorry!!

  2. Ok forget the question above, new idea. Using my DV camera, my Dazzle capture card (not the USB thing) and Premiere 6.5, I want to capture the footage directly to DivX in a good quality. What pass do I want, what config for all the settings, I got the latest DivX codec in Adobe. I also wonder if it is possible to capture the sound to MP3 in Premiere? T H A N K Y O U ! !

mm ... take 1 compressed digital format and send it out analog instead and convert it back to digital and compress it to another really compressed format on the fly - then edit it ? then compress it again to Mpeg1 for vcd ?

how about get a firewire card and transfer your DV material as DV - edit it as DV , and encode it as MPEG1 with the built in mpeg1/2 encoder in Premiere 6.5 ?

you would have much better end product ..

Basically it is capturing at 1MB/2 seconds no matter what codec etc I use. I am doing it right.. I think, what other good carpture software is there? What sort of card have I got, its by Dazzle - Thought it was firewire?!

I used Premieres MPEG encoder and brought 270MB (1min 16sec) clip to 16.8MB. But I dnt have enuff hard drive for whole tape (2hrs) It would take like 50GB at the rate it captures...
