    If I capture with AVI (No Compression) is this a lossless capture?

    It should be your greatest quality, however it will be you biggest file, not a problem under ntfs but fat32 it is. Fat32 has a 4gig file size limit. uncompressed avi that's less than 5min I believe. I capture in avi compressed and get get about 18 min in a 4gig. I'm using win98se. I get very good results using pinnacle studio 7.0

    What are you capturing (source), and encoding to what? It might be highly overkill. Most of the tiem, huffyuv or a mjpeg codec works great.
