  1. I have an issue with burning the VCD onto CDR. The VCD creator seems to pick up the file ok but when I start the burning process it says something like, "Warning this file has some errors...please run verify file and then re-try..." it gives an option to ignore and go ahead. Then burns the file as a .DAT file...Does this sound right? Also burns the .DAT file under and dir and also creates dirs such as "Kareoke" and others...does this sound like it should be doing this? Also I tried it on my Pioneer DVD player at home which reads anything...says it is a CD and then ejects it; no good. I am using Easy CD Creator Deluxe version with a Sony re-writer. Also I am a novice at this so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Josh,
I used to use Easy CD Creator before but have switched to VCDEasy. Easy CD Creator seems to be very particular about the mpg files you feed it. Where did you get the file? You might have to run it through TMPGenc if you haven't already.

The structure seems OK - That's how a VCD should look. Never tried Easy CD Creator (I try to stay as far away as possible from anything that either has "easy" in it's name, or has a version number that ends with .0 - VCDEasy the only exception to this rule!)
A VCD should have the dirs EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT and VCD
On the CD I've got in the drive right now, EXT is empty, MPEGAV contains the MPEG under the name AVSEQ01.DAT, SEGMENT is empty and VCD contains ENTRIES.VCD and INFO.VCD

    /Mats
