Pioneer A05

Hi,

Has *anybody* had any success in burning semi-branded media on this DVD Writer ? (ie Datawrite,bulkpaq,Zero Defex etc)

All I can sucessfully burn on is expensive TDK DVD-RW.

The A03/A04 could burn it OK, so why can't the A05 - even at 1x ?

Hmmmmm... Firmware update please Pioneer - Catch up with the Sony DRU500 or you will lose the market .... (mine is going back if I don't get it working soon!)

Ive got the sony mate and this is a pile of poo. Wont burn dvd- in udma only pio, cannot backup anything at all.
its shit...wish id gone 4 the pioneer.

Had limited success with "Choice" disks, but am now sending the drive back and getting the Sony, with which people seem to have been having much more success.

Must be something unique with your setup. My DRU500a works fine with udma. Not the Sony at fault here.
