    help pls.. I have video from my personal videos. .. however silly me i made it too long that is 950mb it is only 40 min but darn how can i now change that .. i am happy as it is in avi format as i am going only use that one on pc. PLEASE HELP

    what is the objetcive to do with avi? play it at home pc or turn it onto other thing (e.g: DVD or so?)

    Fire up VirtualDub, select "Full processing mode" from the Video menu.
    Under the compression entry in the same (Video) menu, choose your compression method (try DivX) and configure it with the bitrate that will give you a file of the size you want (use a bitrate calculator for this).
    Now, Save As AVI from the file menu.
