  1. I converted a 122min movie to SVCD, but the result turned out to be some computer grafic that looks like a plug-in for WinAmp instead. The file only got 1.3gb from a 122min movie, would thought it would be bigger. I used the standard template for "SVCD NTSC" in TMPGenc to convert.
When I convert the same movie as VCD, it works just fine.
Any settings I have to change? The result is the same with other divx movies too.

Since I did this at 6am this morning, I forgot to check if the sound was working properly. Sorry!!

    Thanks.....

  2. Are you sure you used the correct format for you TV/DVD player (ie. PAL vs. NTSC). Also you say that VCDs work fine, so are you sure you DVD player can play SVCDs?

I would encode a 1min MPEG for VCD and SVCD, make sure both play in media player, then make images of the MPEGS, burn them and test them out.

  3. Ok, I forgot to mention that this is in Windows I can't get the picture. I didn't try to put it on CD to test it in my DVD player. I have a Pioneer player, it can play anything you give it.

    Can WMP play mpeg-2 files?

    Thanks.....
