I use Cinestream so I work from Apple Movie files
I have been looking at how to produce the best fast MPEG results. I took advice from many of you and discovered something very interesting.
The VFAPI wrapper seems to result in a loss of quality when used withj.mov files!
I had to use the "wrapper" to use Main Concept or LSX and was a little dissapointed with the results to say the least.
Now for the kicker with Cinemacraft I processed the same movie clip as a .MOV file and as an .AVI after using VFAPI Conv. The quality of the former was far better than the latter!
Comments?
Anyone else want to try?
Is this somehow related to the .mov codec?
Is there anyway of obtaining a .mov import moidule for main concept?
Any ideas for LSX?![]()
Thanks
