  1. I was trying to create a SVCD with this kind of menus. That was a session of my band playing at my house garage and the menu would be like this:

    Begin Movie
    Interview
    Music Selection:

This link "music selection" would so take to the other menu with the music list.

Sure this is possible in DVD, but when i tryed to make a SVCD with this kind of menu with Pinnacle Studio 8, the software crashed during the "disk compilation" fase. I was observing and verified that the crash happens just when was compiling the link that take to the other menu.

So i suspect i can't do links between two menus, just between a menu and a movie scene...

    Any help?

    Thank you guys!

  2. Yes, very easy to do with the right software. Look at the freeware VCDeasy program (GUI for vcdimager) at http://www.vcdeasy.org/ This will allow nested menus and more.

  6. I use TSCV myself. It is another front end to vcdxbuild, and builds the xml code in the background. Setting menu jump points isn't the most intuitive, but I figured it out after a few attempts.

I thought that the menu controls in I-Author were pretty good, but that is/was a commercial program, and made non-standard folder names, which some DVD players might not like.

  9. What do you want - crashes in Pinnacle or take a few minutes to learn a more powerful program?

Yes VCDeasy makes a XML file to feed to vcdimager but you don't need tgo worry about it - go to the screen where you add menus and clips - very easy. It will make a bin/cue file set which can be burned a number of ways (see Author section on this site).

Hi all, I just have a quick question on VCDEasy.

If I capture a few music videos with my TV wonder and then try to create a VCD with a menu that I can select to play which ever song I want to using the dvd remote....is this possible. The menu would be like a DVD menu.

    Thanks
