    I am trying to backup my video tapes using and Xtasy Xtream video card. I keep getting the center of the viewing screen with a white band which I found out to be the macrovision. How can I disable the macrovision on the Xtasy card.

    I get this band with Virtual dub, Ulead DVD, and Win VCR.

    Any help will be welcomed.

    You need to update the WDM capture driver, find version 1.8 and install it. This should eliminate the white band.

    However, I have not been able to find verison 1.8. Do you know where I can find it?
