  1. Ok I thought I had it, but now I am confused again..

I have about 100 VHS cartoons I need to get cd in any format. Eventually I'd like to get them to DVD but since I don't have a burner I want to save them as files for now.

I have many otpions in front of me, I have a good system and have been capturing them to DIVX, and the quality has been very good. Now I understand I cannot use these DIVX files straight to SVCD or DVD.. so what should I capture these as? SVCD? or maybe DVD Mpeg.

Maybe I should try a conversion and see how much quality is lost in converting from DVIX to MPEG2.. It can't be that bad can it?

Anyways I need some opinons on what I should do, I don't have alot of time to do this.. maybe a 2 week window..

    Thanks

  2. Download TMPENC from this site under TOOLS. Encode the divx avi's to mpeg1 for VCD or mpeg2 for SVCD, however TMPENC has a 30 day expiration on mpeg2 encoding. Use one of the templates on this site in TMPENC and you should get good quality.
