I'm capturing from a Sony TVR DV-cam via firewire to Adobe 6.5 and
the Movie Maker in XP. This is the raw transfer from the camera to the
computer - pre-encoding.
The video however is rather washed out (whats captured, not the source).
On the LCD on the camera - the colors are bright and correct... what gets captured however, isn't.
I'm capturing the video as DV 720x480 in adobe and as DV in Movie Maker (25mbps). So as I understand DV over firewire, it's just really a "copy" v.s a true capture in analog.
Am I missing something?
Here is a still pic I saved from the video so you can see what I mean:
On the source (if looking at the LCD or svideo out to a television it looks proper - the tiger has real tiger colors, etc.
Any suggestions or is there something obvious I'm missing?

thanks for the link.. I had actually come to that conclusion about 2 minutes ago -- err, rather the obvious hit me.. thats what I get for doing
trying to work on stuff at 2am.lol.
