I have no problems with open GOP when I burn DVD-R. They say you should use closed GOP ehen creating multi-angle DVDs or for editing. I have not created any multi-angle DVD but editing is no problem for me. I use M2-Edit Pro 4 without problems and can burn the final result.
The quality is a little bit better with open GOP. Perhaps some DVD authoring programs require closed GOP but I hav never had any problems with SpruceUp.Ronny -
I suspected that the quality would be better with open gop's, but wasn't sure. The software I use for cutting out commercials etc from mpeg captures supports cutting on I, P and B frames so if DVD workshop supports open GOP's there is no need for me to create mpegs with closed GOP's.
