    Is it a good thing to convert a Widescreen movie to full screen?

  2. You can do it with tmpgenc. Use the wizard to set up the conversion process of your movie, on page 3 it will have a list of different filter settings. Click on "other settings" and when the new box appears click on the "advanced" tab. Go to the "video arrange method" and look at your different choices. There is a full "custom size" option where you can set your pixel ratio so it will fit your screen better.

    In TMPGEnc, under the Advanced Tab, you can also set the Video arrange Method to "No margin (keep aspect ratio)". You will lose about 20% of the picture on the sides.
