    I've got an NT4 PC with a samsung CD-ROM. I've got a CD containing some files (which I think are VCD). I have a .DAT file in a MPEGAV directory. I've downloaded a few media viewers (including MS media player 6.4), but can't seem to play the thing. I just get various messages telling me the format is not supported/incompatible. Incompatible with what I wonder?

    I've had a squiz through the newbie stuff and can't seem to find the answer
