best ripper

I was wondering what (for most people in their opinion) is THE best dvd ripper? I've been using Smart Ripper, and Clad DVD ripper... both seem to work at about the speed and do the exact thing. EXCEPT they both rip VERY slow for me. They go at 1.9x - 2x. That is as high as it will go. And I have a new 12x DVD rom drive. So shouldn't it atleast go a bit faster than that?

I don't think that the cause of this slow down thing as been established... I've got an 8x Hitachi drive and it will average at 4-5x when ripping (whether I use SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter or others).

SmartRipper is one of the best rippers. DVD Decrypter is pretty good too, especially if you use FlaskMPEG.
