You define cyberspace by the location of the servers?
The location of the servers define the laws of the internet?

That defines the INTRANET (internal network) not the INTERNET (international network)

Americans (US Goverment) want to make Internet like Intranet, but that is impossible. The nature of Internet don't allow this.
For the cyberspace that is called "Digital fasism". China is a good example for this. America do many efforts to follow it...
UK (and lately Germany) follows on same cases, but still are far behind and perhaps never gonna end US style.

This turn to be a political discussion, which by the way it is. It has 2 scales:
    1. The rights of the cyberspace citizens, which are not determined by server locations etc. Those are American ideas and definitions, nobody except them, even many americans.
    2. The rights of the citizens of a country. By determine the internet actions of a european citizen with american laws, is illegal. It is not exist in the real world, why to exist to the virtual one? Because americans and some other govermants want to? Well, bad news, that never gonna happen.

It seems that many people don't realize something for the internet: The internet and the cyberspace, does not belong to anyone. It is inter(national) Network and that say it all

I have to remind myself all the time that the US way of thinking is far away the European way of thinking. Europeans thinks more global.

Anyway, I wish for a better determination for what is legal and what is not. I want to prevent things. And the determinations must be fair for BOTH Europeans and Americans. If I feel (It doesn't yet happen in this forum) that something restrict my rights, I'll act, and I won't leave, easy like that. You win nothing by leaving. You win only by acting. In the worst scenario, your actions gonna heard by some others before you banned. That is more than enough.
I hope I won't have to be soon in this situation. It will be unpleasent.

  2. Like I said in an earlier post, the rules for this forum are just that "rules", not necessarily laws. If you want to use the forum you must obide by the rules stipulated by the forum owner - Baldrick, or risk being banned.

Our rules are not laws and remember that the rules are not "definitive", we can change them if it doesn't work well.

    @ boss
Actually, this is true for Cyprus. In Turkey they do have laws, but also very authority corruption.

    Thanks Baldrick for listening!
