On my 500mhz Windows 2k PC, for some reason, if i play any video, wether its VCD, SVCD (AVI i think), it comes out blocky when played. VCD is ok at its original size, but when i make the video bigger or full screen it, BLOCKINESS and SLOWNESS!
Also, when I play my SVCDs in Cyberlink PowerDVD 3, it does the exact same thing. Why is this?
Looking at the video renderer, there's nothing in the directdraw lists when there should be. I'm using an ATI AIW Pro 128. Do u think I should re-install my graphics drivers? Or is there another way of getting it back?
I see that its lacking accelation of video from my video card. Could it be directX?
Some1 pls help.
Thanx.
Matt.

Yeah, I think you're right, every other time I have seen this problem, reinstalling both the latest graphics drivers as well as DirectX (couldn't hurt anything) solved it.
Let me know if it doesn't work,

That's not the problem bcos it happens with high bitrate video too. I don't think it effects quicktime at all.
But it's definately a problem in WMP 6 or DirectX, i'm going to reinstall the drivers now for my grpahics card.
