I'm fairly certain that there is a guide already present on the VcdHelp site, but I'm too lazy to go look so here's a mini-guide. basically, the steps would look something like this (*big caveat):
1. convert the RM to AVI using Tinra (Tinra is freeware, but you must already have a version of RealPlayer installed -- free version or otherwise -- because Tinra uses Realplayer to do read part of the conversion). I'd use RAW uncompressed AVI video output (or HuffYuv, or some other lossless codec) since you dont want to do any lossy compression during the intermediate steps.
2. now use TMpgEnc (or whatever your favorite VCD maker is), import the AVI, set all the important options yourself or use the project wizard, and create.
3. burn with your favorite burning app. I like Nero, ymmv.
*Ok. time for that caveat:
I'm not entirely certain that TMpgEnc will create a true VCD from the AVI since the AVI will have a screwy framerate, thanks to RM's tendency to use variable framerates. I think it should compensate (by adding duplicate frames), but I'm not sure.
