  2. You could "fake" a CD-ROM drive by using DAEMON Tools 3.23

i dont know Daemon tools messed up my computer...it kept a fake drive and got annoying. Use BinChunk and change bin to mpg.

  4. Personally, I find daemon-tools extremely useful... I keep the virtual CD drive and set it to V: (for virtual). It's great for testing out CUE/BIN images of VCDs you've authored before actually burning it on a disc.

As for the original poster's problem, you can regenerate the CUE/BIN image. You'll find the posts if you search for the word "regenerate", but basically, what you need to do is to use VCDXRIP on the BIN file and then immediately VCDXBUILD on the generated XML file.

This will regenerate your CUE/BIN image. The point of doing this rather than extracting just the MPEG file is that you'll get to keep any menus or chapters that were in the original VCD.

You can use VCDImager Tools GUI as a GUI for the above tools: http://www.vcdimager.org/guides/vcdimager_tools_gui.html

  5. you could also use vcdgear.

this will turn the bin and cue files into a mpg file which you can play with windows media player.

  7. Being finally tired of all these "I've only got the BIN file, help?" questions, I've decided to do something about it.

The latest version (well, v1.0.195 and up) has a tool specifically designed for regenerating (i.e., creating a new CUE/BIN image of a VCD) an image from just the BIN file (e.g., if the CUE file is missing or damaged). You can read more about it and download it here: http://www.vcdimager.org/guides/vcdimager_tools_gui.html
