  1. After further investigation the problem with audio seems to be a slight mark on the source disk i gave it a clean and then the audio reported no errors (Training Day)

    Would it be possible to make your program encode, even when main movie is smaller than 4.37 GB? Sometimes I would like to decrease size of main movie so I can add also extras...

  4. Good show! This is excellent software.

    Can anybody help with Matrix?

    The subtitles are faster then the video & audio and for the final part the gap is terrible.

    In other words, it starts ok but the difference between the audio and the subtitle is always increasing becoming 3 to 5 seconds at the movie end.

    I’m using IfoEdit 0.95 for muxing and authoring.

  5. @Antonio S.

    Go to the 'Settings' and select 'Encode always'. Then reserve some space for your Extras under 'Bitrate->reserve MB'.

  6. Thanks Chatwalker

    This is a great piece of software, i have tried all the rest and to try and encode and fit onto one dvdr it was given estimated times of 30+ hours even after leaving it for an hour or so to see if this would decrease.

    Now with this software it takes about 5 hours to do all except burning.
    so i can leave running over-night.

    I also use nero to burn with and have no problems with discs playing in set-tops.

  7. Could anyone do a guide on how to get the extra's on the disk as well ?

    I know you can reserve space for it, but I have no idea how to go about getting the dvd back together again.

    Thanks,

  8. Chatwalker:

    Thank you for answering my post!!!

    Last night I tried your program and it really works...

    There is a modification that must be done. I reencode a NSTC movie and notice that when DVD2AVI was doing the "project", the"FORCE FILM" option in field operation was not activated. So the movie was not properly encoded. When DVD2AVI was making the project, the preview window said that the movie was "99 film", so for proper encoding this option must be activated. I can author the movie encoded, but quality was not as good as expected ( scan lines, some pixelation, etc.)
    However, if using the "Force Film" option, PULLDOWN should be implemented...
    Also I notice that changes made to the "Settings" are not permanent ( every time you starst DVD2DVDr settings are change to "default" values)

    Thank you,

    Antonio S.

    P.D to zwieber: To add XTRAS you can use guides in IfoEdit...

  9. I'm getting a message that says "Your HDD does not support files larger than 4GB" after I hit the "Go" button.

    I've never had this problem before with other ripping, burning software.
    Is this related to the FAT32?
    Runnining XP Pro, with 100GB HDD.

    Any suggestions to get around this?

  10. Hi
    Yeap it works (DVD2DVD-r) it very fast as well.Once its made the seperate Video Audio files.It a simple matter of opening ifoedit(Version 0.95) clicking on DVD author and then when complete you will have NEW vobs etc to simple drag and drop into Nero(or other).
    As yet I have sussed the menu side(but I am new so time will tell).
    And the end results(about 2 hours total including burning a 1x) is DVD quality back up with dolby 5.1 sound...
    I will make a Guide soon but I am sure ar alot of more experienced Members who will make a more profressional guide.
    (I am using nero latest version on a Pioneer A05 and DVD2DVD-r vesion 1.2.0 ,ifo version 0.95)...

    It is due to Fat32, you will need to convert drive(s) to ntfs.

    you can convert from Fat32 to Ntfs without formatting by doing below

    To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
    Open Command Prompt. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.

    In the command prompt window, type: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
    For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs format.

    You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command. But not NTFS to FAT

  17. I havd been trying this software out and it is excellent for the most part. However, I am having a slight problem when playing the DVD on my Sony Progressive Scan Player stand alone. When playing the movie it is very jerkey. Here are my specs:

    - Windows XP Professional
    - Burning with STOMP Record Now
    - Everything goes well with the software, except when playing the movie it is very jumpy and glitchy. My TV is in the NTSC standard.

    Thanks for any advice!

  18. Hi all

    @Shift

    You need W2K or XP to run DVD2DVD-R. The registryfunction doesn't work with W98 or ME. So you get an error when DVD2DVD-R try to change the registry for DVD2AVI.

    @Antonio S.

    I will add 'Force Film' in the next Version. Sorry, but i'am inexperienced with NTSC. I'am from Germany and i have only PAL Discs to test.

    @all

    In most cases you have to deselect 'Upper Field first' for NTSC.

  19. This tool works great for NTSC dvd's. Dunno who came up with the idea that it doesn't. Also to decrease ripping time, go into the ooptions and lowewr the sector scanning from 20,000 to 1,000 Ripped a 2hour movie in 10 minutes versus the 45 it would have taken. Everyone should also realize, it is demuxing as it rips so it is naturally going to take a little longer than a normal rip.

    I am having the same problem, i dunno what makes it do that. tried many different settings but CCE insist on making it jerky on the TV. On the PC it looks great

    I've never had any problems installing DVD software thus far.

    Here's some screen shots, any ideas?

  22. I was able to successfully copy Exit Wounds but it did not require any addition encoding. It played great on the TV. When I try and do Terminator 2 it comes out very jerkey. I am doing this on an Athlon XP Machine. Are you running an Athlon system Bond?

    I am going to give Chatwalker's suggestion a try and have upper field unselected.

    hey i figured it out, to find out what settings to use, download bitrate viewer, and then read a small paragraph on "getting the best out of CCE" and it tells u when to use all the different settings. I just got training day to work perfectly. Yes i am running an athlon 1.4ghz

  25. Where is Bitrate Viewer located?

    Is it the app in the Tools section?
    Quote Quote
  26. I figured it out, it creates a directory on the destination drive with the same name as the DVD you are ripping. Just delete that directory and you are good to go.

    Has anyone seen this message? I have no idea where the output folder is or the name of the output file. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  27. I was unable to get the program to install under my Win2K SP3. But solved it now:

    - Unzip the contents of DVD2DVDR.CAB to C:\Program Files\dvd2dvr.
    - Make a directory C:\Program Files\DVD2DVR\DVD2AVI and put
    DVD2AVI.EXE and DVD2AVI.VFP inside.
    - Make a directory C:\Program Files\DVD2DVR\MPEG2DEC and put
    MPEG2DEC2.DLL and MPEG2DEC.DLL inside.

    I did this after trying to install, so just to be safe try to run the SETUP.EXE before doing the above.

  28. Great program.

    I'm finding that the ripping is very slow, about 600Kb per second. The DVD I tried ripped at close to real time (2 Hours). The Ripping is demuxing at the same time but did not expect it to be this slow.

    If I rip and demux with DVD decrypter it only takes about 20 mins for the same DVD.

    Any ideas?

    Hi all,

    I enjoy this nice program made by Chatwalker.
    It works really fine, is easy to use and yet fast enough!
    If there are any Dutch-speaking members on the forum that use Chat's proggie or want to give it a try: I made a Dutch tutorial on my personal webspace and added some screenshots. 8)

    You receive the message 'Checking Outputfile...FAILURE' if you start the ripping twice. Then there is already a folder named to the DVD with the files you need. If you abort the session, be sure that you delete the folder before ripping twice.

    @Azza

    If you unzip the .CAB and install the files by your own, there is no guarantee that this will work. The installer also installs Avisynth and the Microsoft WMI Scripting Library to your system directory.

    The rippingspeed depends on the used hardware. If your machine takes more than 30min to rip use DVDDecrypter in ISO-Mode instead and mount the Image with Daemon-Tools.

    @all

    DVD2DVD-R analysed the Videostream like Bitrateviewer. All possible settings are done automatically. Sometimes the flags on the original DVD are not set correctly, so that you have to check them each time.
