I have been trying to play some homemade VCDs on my Onkyo C501 DVD player. The player just keeps spinning up the disc, then gives a disc error and refuses to recognize it. The discs play on my computer, so I don't think its an encoding problem (though I am a newbie extreme in these matters!).
Can anyone provide me with a way to get my player to recognize these discs. (The manual says its supposed to, of course)
Thanks,
Marc

When DVD player manual states it plays (S)VCDs it means MANUFACTURED (pressed) (S)VCDs not home made ones. For home made ones it needs to be CDR/RW compatible.
