Need help encoding a 2-pass VBR XVCD....

I seem to always get a error like "Illegal Floating Decimal Point Calculation Order" and was wondering how to fix it? does it have something to do with the file or the encoder settings or what? i am using the newest TMPGENC Plus.

Did you enable cache vbr in the enviramental tab? If you did turn it off.

if you are using tmpeg for the encoding and you
seem to have a "floating point problem"

do the following:

in tmpeg

select "options"
select "enviromental settings"
select "vfapi plug-in"

you will see a list of plug-ins

right click on a plug-in named "directshow multimedia file reader"
you will see that it has a priority of "-1"

you need to increase that to "1"
by selecting "higher priority" until it becomes the first in the list.

Also, it might help in TMPGEnc to check "Use floating point DCT" under the Quantize matrix tab in Settings.

i have gave up and just used CQ thanks for all the help.

Try grabbing a XVCD template from www.kvcd.net, run that through TMPGEnc and see if it does the same thing, also try a different movie to encode, might be a problem there.

The key is dont give up stay at it, Ive spent the past 4 months playing with this stuff and I still dont produce stuff Im 100% happy with, so read read read, and play play play, youll get there
