Sony DRU-500A & EZCD Creater

Has anyone had anyluck with the Sony DRU-500A and EZCD Creater?

EZCD creator does not support this drive.

Actually it does, you just need the latest update (5.3.2.34). They haven't updated their supported recorder list yet, but it is supported as of the latest release.

I've been burning DVD+RW's, CD-R's and CD-RW's without any problem using Easy CD creator.

I haven't got any DVD-RW,DVD-R or DVD+R discs so I haven't been able to test them, but I see no reason why those would have any problems.

Tried the update but still have the same problem i had before. Ezcd screen is flashing and resetting constantly. Maybe it can not work together with Nero?
Do you have the same problem or do you know a way to get rid of this problem?

I have heard that Nero and EZCD don't get along. I made a few coasters but I think that it is because I am trying to burn to fast. I don't like the software that came with the DRU-500A. It's pretty wimpy.

Nero & EXCD don't get along, but ONLY if you install their packet writing features (Nero InCD and Roxio DirectCD). For authoring only, they coexist fine.

I don't have Nero installed, but I've read that its better to install Nero first than Easy CD as sometimes the reverse order causes problems.

And like Jester700 said, never install more than one packet writing software at once or they interfere with each other.

I've tried other burning software (Alcohol 120%) with Easy CD installed and both work co-exist fine.

Tried this update a few weeks ago.
Yes, The drive is found, BUT EZ CD hangs after a few seconds, and the
DRU-500A orange light flashes every second or two, because EZ CD is polling the drive. It doesn't stop...

Hopefully they will issue a new update to fix this annoying bug.
I never had that problem (hanging) before the latest update.

That's exactly what happened to me. A flashing light on the drive and the screen with the drive-letters-list is also flashing.
I will try to uninstall EZCD and Nero and reinstall it all to see if that will do any good.
I'll let you know.
