First off, I have a JVC XV-S302 DVD player that can play SVCDs.
I've made a couple of svcds now and they play just fine on my dvd player on my laptop, but when played on the jvc player, I get occasional "jumping" of lines. This is basically the topmost line turning black and back to normal, black - normal, black - normal. Ocassionally this also happens to lines further down the screen.
I shouldn't even say "lines" because it's not a straight line all the time. It seems to be a line where the color changes, ie from a red jacket to a black background.
It's not a huge deal but it is noticeable and makes it seem like the movie is jumping a bit on the screen.
I'm wondering if this is something that has been seen before, if there is some option or hack I can enable (or disable) to prevent this. As I said, it only happens on the jvc player, not my computer's dvd player.
Here's some more info:
I use VCDEasy to burn the mpeg. I use tmpgenc to encode the avi to the mpeg. 4 pass vbr.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
