nothing really -- except what capture card are you using.. full D1 captures can be done perfect even on a p300 with the right capture card ..
if you really mean capture at the HIGHEST quality you will have to spring for a sdi capture card (10bit color) , scsi raid system ,apogee ad/da, dual mac or or fast p4 or xeon and and few other things like a D5 or d-beta or a HDCAM tape desk .. plan on spending about $170-200,000 by the time your done and then add in a AVID ds|hd or dps HD system or Mac cinewave HD for another 60,000- 170,000$ if you want to edit your captures..
(i always like the questions "i want the best......." ) -
Well, real time capture. You mean, as mpeg2, ready to burn? That won't give you as much quality as capturing the good old way. with virtualdub and huffyuv/mjpeg codec, then reencoding. I think you have to give us a lil more details about what exactly you want to do.

I want To Capture From My Tv Turner, Video Recorder and maybe Dvd Rencoding That won't make a diffrence if you droped frames when capturing will it? my capture card is the winfast 2000 xp I'd like to be able to capture at Svcd Quality. I'd perfer not to rencode as that take hours!!!!!
P.s If you capture at a low bitrate and quality codec and rencode to higher bitrate and quality codec the quality will just be the same as the original won't it? -
To answer the original question: a bigger HD. A 120 Gb HD will do for a 4 hour capture using huffuv.

Don't you mean a faster hardrive I know making my computer will make it better at capturing but i what to know whats the minumum processor hardrive I should go for!!!

No, I mean a bigger HD. For maximum quality, you capture using huffuv and encode later. Huffuv uses a lot of space (>500 Mb/min), that's why you need a bigger HD. You shoudn't have problems capturing full res huffuv with a Duron 800 MHz.
