    I'm using a Sony DV cam and when i play it on the TV it looks fine but after i capture the video on my computer it always looks darker and not as clear as it was on the TV when i use the cam to play tapes.

    When i have it full screen on my computer i see all kinds of lines going through it i've used Adobe Premiere to capture the video and Ulead DVD factory but it still looks the same any suggestions? I'm using a new Sony LCD monitor with a nvida 64mb video card.

    Monitor gamma calibration most likely.

    I've messed with the monitor settings but it didn't help any. I'm not sure what you mean.

    There is monitor calibration settings in your software. By any chance, you have a trinitron tube in your monitor?
