Prob. Making Sub!

Hello there.

I´m trying to put a sub in my movies and I cant make it work.
I followed this instruction: http://www.vcdhelp.com/srtsubsvirtual.htm

And I´m ok al the way down to this

"Now it's time to Encode the frameserved video to MPG. Launch TMPGEnc.
Open the .vdr by select Files of types: All files.
And now it's just to select VCD Templates or SVCD Template and Encode"

How do I do that? I´m from Sweden so maybee I dont understand it right.
I´m trying to load the .vdr file with the wizard as usual but with all file types but the Tmpeg just freezes all the time...

Am I doing wrong?

Please help me here.

For at frameserving skal virke i TMPGEnc må du patche programmet med en "avisynth patch". Du finner den muligens under "Tools" på denne siden, eller på www.doom9.net

Ok that sounds interesting but were can I find that patch more exactly and whats the name of it?
