  1. Greeting,

Can someone advice how to burn VCD from VCDToolkit build files (.CD and TOC)?

I am using WinOnCd 3.8 PowerEdition. I only can find help for Nero.

    Thank you

  2. Look at the instructions on this page:

    http://www.icdia.org/cdprosupport/vcd/vcd2x/vcd_burn.htm

I'm not sure if these were written for 3.8 or an earlier version of WinOnCD. Let me know if it works for you.

  4. Well, either I am dump or the tool's not right. I still cannot make a Photo CD with menu. I have about 50 coaster from AOL and I just create 5 more .... (I have try either Single track or Multi track). They come out AudioCD like when it plays on my Pioneer DV515 or my Yamaha DVD on PC.

All I want to do is to create a VCD to keep my Digital photo whith Menu (eg. press a hot-spot to play picture 1 - 20).

Please advise what tools I can use. I have WinOnCD3.8, VCDToolkit, CDRWin3.7, EZCD, VCDImager + GUI, Spitter...etc.

    Thank you
    K.C.

  5. kcchiu,

In the WinOnCd instructions, the following are critical:

5.Select "CD-ROM XA" for Track format.
6.Select "2352 bytes data scrambled" for File format.
7.Enter "150" in theStart writing at block offset field and click Ok.

Does version 3.8 still have support for the "2352 bytes data scrambled" file format? Also does it still have the option to set the block offset? I don't have WinOnCD, so I can't test this myself. If 3.8 does not still support the scrambled file format, or if it doesn't let you set the block offset, you'll never get it to burn a .cd image.

  6. If you can't get WinOnCD to work, try the brand new version of the TOCSplit utility which has just been released:

    http://freespace.virgin.net/robin.burrows/cdiutil.htm

It should let you use CDRWin instead of WinOnCD. Remember it's brand new, so it may be a little buggy still.

  7. Thank you for your advise.
Yes, 3.8 still have all the option I need to set (eg. offset...etc). I still creating plastic disc only (not VCD).

I will try the new tools and let you know my progress.
