I was wondering if this could happen. My DVD-Player, a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1202, is getting abit cranky nowadays. It sometimes can't read CDs, DVDs, unless I eject and reinsert a few times.
I get an error of no disc detected.
Was wondering if it was dues to excessive non-DVD usage.![]()

No, just general wear and tear.

Your DVD player lens might be a bit dirty. There are commercial products to clean it but be careful.
