I tried that:
1. Install jwpce from http://ftp.monash.edu.au/pub/nihongo/index.html
2. Install any japanese truetype font (MS Mincho is a good one)
3. Start jwpce and set utility/options/file-clipboard to Shift-JIS
4. Enter your jap. text
5. Mark text and copy to clip board
6. in ssa set new style to MS MIncho Japanese script
7. set style to new style from 6
8. paste your text
Japanese subs are ready
Other way to do is instead of 4,5 and 8ave your script (use romanji hints for subs at the time frame) and enter your text directly in jwpce, it can read the .ssa files.
