Hello.

Sorry for the length of this post, but I want to be thorough.

I am having no luck in burning an SVCD after using Dvd2svcd. Unfortunately, they will not let me post on their boards for 5 days. I hope someone can help me.

Here are my system specs:
Win98se
800 mhz PIII
256k ram
Sony CRX100E Recordable Drive

I have updated my ASPI layer with Forceaspi (VCDEasy says Aspi seems ok: Yes)
I have successfully created a virtual drive with Daemon Tools. The SVCD files play fine in WinDVD.
Unfortuantely, I am unable to burn it. I have tried a direct cd copy from the virtual drive to my cd recorder using both Nero v.5.5.7.8 and the Sony CD Right! software that came with my burner. Both times, the process seemed to be going along fine until the very end. Sony software says something to the effect of "unable to communicate with source drive" (or something like that).
After apparently recordeing for a long time, Nero says:
"Illegal mode for this track"
"Could not perform end of disc at once"
"Invalid writestate"
"Burn process failed"

I have also tried burning the bin/cue files with VCDEasy. Similar results. The process takes what appears to be the right amount of time but at the end, my recorder locks up and the process fails. Using VCDEasy option to unlock drive does not work. I must reboot to remove disc (which is still blank). I know the recorder is working because I used it after that to do a test record from some data on my hard drive (on one of the discs from a a failed SVCD recording attempt).
I am not running any power management stuff, virus programs, firewalls, screen savers.

Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris
