Is the only way i can get what i taped is by playing it on my computer and then using software to record it?
Whats the best software to do this? I tryed some of the programs listed in the help files on this site but i keept getting errors with them i liked Uleads DVD MovieFactory but it didn't have anough settings in it to get what i wanted. Is there anymore programs like that one i thought it was easy to use. -
other that i have used is Showbiz and mydvd. found both on the internet free of charge

well those are the only ones i have used. go to http://www.cnet.com/ and do a search for capture video or something i know they have a lot of software that you could maybe use to get your video onto your harddrive

What is this rambling about capture card?
He says that he got a DV camcorder.
He needs a Firewire-card.

You can transfer the DV data with Moviemaker that comes
with WindowsXP.
Hint: Defrag Hard drive first.
