  1. I have burned about 7 DVD's successfully now, some encoded some not. Couple quick questions:

    1. I keep getting an error "Parsing Error (0xc1070003)" in DVD Maestro when I try to import chapters. I uses Chapter extrator and save as a DVD Maestro file (.chp I believe) I will also select output chapter in DVD Decryptor (.txt file) yet I keep getting this error. I did do it successfully once, but must have somehow screwed things up because I can't do it again. Any advice on how I can get my chapters in DVD Maestro.

    2. Do you guys typically burn your movie so that it starts right up in the stand alone player or do you have some kind of title screen or something come up. I think it would be kind of nice to have a title screen and then wait for the user to press play. Can someone please tell me how (or provide url) to add a title screen. Hopefully a solution exists with the programs I already use. Thanks.

    Programs I use:

    DVD Decrypter
    DVD2AVI
    Chapter Extractor
    TMPGEnc if re-encofing is required
    DVD Maestro
    Nero

    Thanks

I do not think your questions/problems was clearly stated.

    Try it again.

And also try Ifoedit0.95 as it now supports chapters.

  4. why don't you just skip that step as well as Chapter Extractor. inless you really want chapters in your dvd. it looks like you encode a dvd if bigger than 4.7 the same way i do. i see no need to use DVD Maestro and Chapter Extractor and all mine i have made has comes out great. just idea if you keep gettting that error.

Ya that's basically where I'm at now, but when I get an error I try to solve it... just my way I guess. What do u use instead of Maestro? Do you put a title at the beginning or does the DVD start right in?

  7. nope i just rip the movie to my hard drive and run dvd2avi to get d2v and ac3 file. then i load up dv2 file in TMPGEnc to create a m2v file video only. then load the m2v file and ac3 file in ifoedit to make the dvd then burn using nero. plus i was having problems with DVD Maestro so i just got rid of it. really there is no need for it.

Usually if chapters fail to import its because your encoding method screwed up the video a little. (I'm not very technical at this, I thik its the iframes that get messed up)

I'm using the SuperNewbie method that I posted in the guides section and have only had it fail once, and thats because CCE will crash on that specific encode for some reason. Using that method the chapters reimport just fine.

Also I use no menus on most movies and make my own super simple menus in Maestro when backing up episodes.
