I am using TMPGEnc-0.11.27.111 (the latest version I believe) and whenever I try to encode some of my WMV video files to MPEG, it will sometimes not complete the conversion and freeze, or it will leave parts of the video with blank audio. Can anyone tell me how to make it convert these files correctly, or can someone tell me if a previous version of TMPGEnc is better?

Its probably the audio that is causing it. Load your file in virtual dub (tools section) click file/save wav. Now use this wav for your audio under TMPGenc along with your WMV file for video and it will probably work fine.

You can't open WMV files in Virtual Dub, it says that Microsoft made them remove the ASF/WMV support.

  4. heh.. dont remember exact version number.. but i think if you find xx.c (the c being the important one) it has asf/wmv support. although i would be violating rules to tell you where to download it ( i think ). email me, and ill check when i get home from work and see what ive got..
