Can someone verify if these steps are right? I manage to Rip/Transcode/Re-author/Relink Menu for MI2. I have not yet burnt a copy on DVDR, but the files plays properly under PowerDVD.

Here we go...
1. Ripping - just used SmartRipper to rip out all the files. (eg C:\DVDRip\*)
2. Used IfoEdit and found out the movie is on VTS_6_*.VOB.
3. Use ChapterExactor to save a "filename.chp" file.
4. Transcoding - Used DVD2AVI and T_MPG and transcoded to "filename.m2v", and "filename.ac3" files.
5. Re-authoring - Used DVD Maestro, and the files mentioned in step 3 & 4 to generate a new set of VOB files. In my case "C:\Maestro_Result\VTS_1_*.VOB", and "C:\Maestro_Result\VTS_1_0.IFO".
6. Renaming the files - I took the files mentioned in step 5, and renamed them back to VTS_6_*.VOB, and copied these files back to the C:\DVDRip\ directory, replacing the original VTS_6_*.VOB's.
7. Get VTS_Sector on IfoEdit.

I found that the C:\DVDRip\VIDEO_TS.IFO will play. But the chapters alignments are all messed up.

8. So I launched two IFOEdits and opened "C:\DVDRip\VTS_6_0.IFO", and "C:\Maestro_Result\VTS_1_0.IFO".

I compared the 2 files, and found the major differences are in the "Time Map Table" and the "Menu Cell Address Table". So I used HEX_Edit, and took all the HEX codes from the mentioned catagories, and copied them from "C:\Maestro_Result\VTS_1_0.IFO", then pasted them in to "C:\DVDRip\VTS_6_0.IFO".

And boom.... there is it... everything worked on PowerDVD. So now, I plan to repeat steps 2 to 8 for the "DVD Extras".

So please... fill me in on my mistakes, and let me know if there is a more efficient way of doing DVD9 to DVD5 with Original Menus and Extras.

Thanks!
