In the case of this little TV http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/3dd37d13008464e2273fc0a87f9c0734/Product/View/G7247 What is an 'AV in Jack'? Is it just where you plug in the Audio/visual cables? if so will it be able to cope with a portable vcd player connected to it? Is the little TV worth getting?

The av-in jack accepts 2.5mm inputs (like a 2.5mm headphone plug). The cable converts RCA Video+Audio (generally mono) to the 2.5mm format. If the tv doesn't come with the cable, you can probably pick one up at radio shack (or some similar store). Back many years ago when I used to play in a pit orchestra, I had a tv like this that I would hook up a super nintendo to for kicks. It was small as all hell get out, but got the job done. My friend has a portable screen for a gamecube that also has one of these jacks. We have one of those NAPA mp3/vcd portables that we hook up into it on road trips all the time. Works great.
