i have a vcd and the quality is really good and i want to find out how it was encoded the birate and resolution etc. Is this possible?

Extract the MPEG with VCDGear, then open it with ie LSX MPEG player or something.

If it is a true VCD, and not an XVCD then the standards are set. Bitrate is 1150kbps and res is 352x288 25fps pal or 352x240 29.97fps ntsc
