Will the Ati All-in-Wonder support AT&T's Digital Cable? I am trying to encode some non-basic cable shows on a backup disc. Currently I have AT&T's Digital Cable, and I wanted to make sure I could create backups of my shows with the Tivo-like program, that comes with the 8500DV Video card. Or will I have to find different software, hardware, or whatever to get this to work? I haven't purchased this card, and I was trying to decide if this would fulfill my needs. If not what card should I purchase?

Presumably you have a digital cable box which converts the digital signal to an analogue one that can be displayed on your TV. Plug the coax cable that normally goes into your TV into your AIW 8500DV, it should work fine. I have digital cable TV in the uk, I can record fine using my AIW 7500.

The tuner on the ATI is basicly the same one found on your cable ready TV. You can not decode your digital channels like HBO, Showtime, etc. It receives channels 2-181 analog.
