  1. hi!
i've created a MPEG2 SVCD compliant file (480*576 25fps PAL 16:9) and created an XML. used vcdimager (vcdxbuild) to create the cue/bin and burned with cdrdao. when I open the SVCD in windvd, its aspect ratio is 4:3. what am i doing wrong?

    thanx!

Very few players recognize a 16:9 flag on SVCD. The standard SVCD aspect ratio is 4:3, if you want proper playback on most players (both software and hardware) you should encode it as 4:3.

  3. and how to convert 16:9 to 4:3? i'm using flask 0.6 and CinemaCraft 2.50

  4. Set the destination aspect ratio in Flask as 4:3. Flask will do the necessary resizing and letterboxing.

  5. In CCE 2.5 use 16:9(add borders,encoded as 4:3)
You will get the best result. If your using a 4:3 TV the borders added give
your movie the aspact ratio without stretching.
If you have a widescreen TV you can probably remove the borders, still
    keeping a good picture.
