Pinnacle Studio 8 cannot read TMPGenc audio

Hi,

I am using Pinnacle Studio 8 for editting (MPG2) and DVD authoring. Still I judge TMPGEnc MPG2 quality as better then Studio 8 MPG2 quality and therefore encode to MPG2 with TMPGEnc. Also I have a number of already encoded MPG2 video that I wish to use in Studio 8.

My problem is that Studio 8 does not seem to support the audio format of TMPGEnc.
Pinnacle FAQ says: Studio 8 can open MPEG-2 program streams. Studio 8 will not support MPEG elementary stream files. These files have a separate audio and video stream. These files can have the file extension .MP2, .M2V, .M1V.

Does anyone know how to do this? Does TMPGEnc have any options that can be set?

I can't help you, but it seems that you can't find too many Pinnacle Studio users here I am using Studio 7.
