  1. First post:
I have converted 20 or so .avi's to VCD with great success, thanks to this site. Then when I saw the "SVCD Header Trick" I thought I would give that a try, being that my DVD player did not support SVCD. I followed the instructions to a "T", and got back an excellent quality picture on my television with one exception. The picture on my TV only uses about 2/3 of the screen, leaving the other 1/3 blank. The movie is all there, it just doesn't take up the fullscreen, in essence "scrunching" the movie up on the left side of the screen. I have never had this problem making VCD's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again for all the info on this site.

  3. So it seems this trick doesn't work quite perfectly on your DVD player. Your'e screwed mate, stick to VCD's or splash out on a DVD burner (assuming you player can play those!)
