I have been using TMPG for quite some time, and I thought I would give cce a try. I have it implemented into DVD2SVCD and gave it a try yesterday. However, my wife shut it down 5 minutes before the end so I haven't had a chance to check it's success. However, I have been trying to use cce to encode my 352x480 captured video (virtual dub w/ huffy, AVI). My mind isn't quite making the transition from tmpg to cce. I think I understand the "half vertical resolution" which will give me the CVD setting I want, however, If I want 480x480 how do I do that? In addition to resolution settings, when I get my outputted file, the picture is terrible. I don't mean poor quality, I mean it is almost unrecognizable. I had to really stare at it to realize that it is also vertically flipped. What is causing this? I also tried 720x480 captured video with the "half vertical" unchecked. This made no difference in the final product, and if I didn't have the bitrate above 7000 it gave me some muxing error before encoding was completed. I am just having all kinds of problems. Thanks for any input.
As I type this I am using DVD2SVCD with cce encoder tab selected. I am hoping that the default settings in CCE through the DVD2SVCD might work. Maybe just wishful thinking.
