  1. I have a bin/cue file (the bin is 803mb). Is there a way to burn this using an 80 minute cd-r?

    I thought I might have to extract the bin to mpg with vcdgear (when i did that the mpg played fine with windvd, but the video went really fast and out of sync with the audio in windows media player).

    Is there a normal process for this, or should I just split the mpg from vcdgear and take my chances? What is the maximum amount of video this svcd could get packed on a 80 minute cd?

    Thanks!

  2. If the BIN file of the CUE/BIN set is really just 803 MB, you should be able to fit it on an 80min with just a tiny bit of overburning...

  3. thanks for the reply, but i thought an 80 minute cd-r only held 700mb.

  4. It holds about 703 MB in MODE1 or MODE2 Form1 (i.e., 2048 bytes of user data per sector) --> CD-ROM.

    It holds about 798 MB in MODE2 Form2 (i.e., 2324 bytes of user data per sector) --> (S)VCD.

  5. Thank you vitualis. So if I overburn the 803MB file, it should definately work, (since it is only 5mb past the limit)?

    Thanks again for your reply.

  6. Yes, you can overburn by about a minute fairly safely (i.e., about 10 MB in MODE2 Form2 sectors).
